KAIROSLate Ordinary Time, three weeks to Advent. Three generations: the one that died in the wilderness, the one that crossed (Joshua — whose name is Jesus), the one that thinks it owns the place. Matt 23 is a Holy Week text: after seven woes come the Judge's tears; the killing is grace.
THE NAILDwelling long in the land of grace, they came to think they owned it. The tenants killed the estate-owner's Son — yet the Son's death became the ransom for the tenants' very sin.
